Why Do I Itch like crazy after tanning ?

Anyone know why I itch liek crazy when I go tanning??? I only go in it for 5 - 8 mins at a time. I have very fair skin. Some say its eaither the cleaner when they clean near the bulbs n the heat causes the tingle feeling. or Its the lotion I use.??? Anyone know? Whats the best tanning lotion to buy so I wont itch?
